Today widely cultivated in tropical regions, aloe vera can be dated back to the time of the ancient Egyptians. It is said that Cleopatra attributed the secret of her legendary beauty to the plant. Research carried out on the gel from the inner leaf has revealed the presence of softening, moisturising and regenerating compounds. Thanks to its high content of compound sugars (polysaccharides) which encourage water retention in the epidermis, organic aloe vera is used for its moisturising and soothing properties.
